LILAC - Wellington's lesbian library
LILAC (Lesbian Information, Library and Archives Centre) is Wellington's lending library
for women-oriented women - women who form their primary relationships with women. It operates from
a room upstairs at 64 Cambridge Terrace (corner of Fifeshire St) - just follow the signs. LILAC is a
women-only space, although small children with their mums are okay.
Come in and look around the collection, renew your membership or
join up.
Note that there are no money machines nearby, so you need to bring cash or a cheque to pay the
annual subscription.

Book group
Want to meet new people? Like reading? Then the new lesbian book group may be just the thing for you. The proposal is to read one lesbian themed fiction book each month (book decided by group) and meet to discuss book. Indulging in wine and snacks also highly recommended at the once a month meetings. Email Sarah at wgtnlesbooksandmovies@gmail.com if you want to be a part of the group. This is not part of LILAC ... but we have the books for you to borrow!!
LILAC on Twitter
LILAC has a Twitter space as lilac_library - pop on in for the latest tweets, extremely short book reviews ... whatever.
LILAC on Facebook
LILAC also has a group on Facebook. Anyone can join group, once they sign up to Facebook. It is a modest beginning - maybe members could post comments about books they have read.
